Church emails that never arrive
A lot of churches set up email years ago and never added the public notes that mail companies now expect. The newsletter is real. The inbox just cannot tell.
You do not need an IT person. You need the login for the place you bought the domain, and the login for the company that sends the mail, such as Google or Microsoft.
Churches and nonprofits can check a box for half off monitoring. It is an honor system.
What to do
- Run the free grade on the church domain, not the email company's domain.
- If the grade mentions DMARC, that is the note that stops strangers from sending mail in the church's name.
- Change one record, then send a test to a personal inbox.
- If you want a daily note when something breaks, monitoring is $5 a month, or $2.50 with the church discount.
